Thanks to wonderful applicants like you, Stephanie Crummer (Jan’s eldest daughter) had another difficult job deciding on the 2024 recipients. She was deeply impressed by some exceptional applications and was supported in the final selection by her sister Danielle.
Stephanie says: “ It’s been a privilege and honour to review the scholarship applications. Such incredible candidates and I was grateful for Danielle’s help as I have recently given birth! We loved reading about all the different areas the applicants were working in and seeing how they have come from right across the globe. We received our first applicant from Africa which was very touching. Mum would have been so excited about all the potential these people have for positively impacting those they work with through TetraMap.”

Elynn Pang
In addition to my role as a school director and certified life coach, I am committed to adding value to the organization and improving team performance within the education sector. As an educational leader, I recognize the pivotal role that effective teamwork plays in achieving academic goals and driving positive change. I seek to leverage collective expertise and experience to address challenges, implement best practices, and innovate teaching methodologies by facilitating collaboration among staff and administrators. I have always believed that “Teamwork Makes Miracles”. With the support of this scholarship, I will be able to enhance my skills and capabilities, ultimately contributing to a more harmonious and interconnected world.
Elynn’s application showed she understands and values the impact TetraMap has in teamwork, conflict resolution and in developing leadership capabilities. She identified many ways she will be able to use the knowledge and skills she learns through the course in her leadership and coaching roles and programs to empower the educators she works with.
Kirsty Doyle
I serve as a Strategic Manager Māori at the MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology. This center of research excellence (CORE) is funded by the Tertiary Education Commission. Here, I spearhead initiatives aimed at fostering the participation and success of Māori and Pacific peoples in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. I first learned about TetraMap during my tenure at Science for Technological Innovation, where I was actively involved in the Science Leaders Program. This program, designed to nurture leadership skills within the scientific community, sought to integrate innovative approaches to personal and professional development. My initial exposure to TetraMap left a lasting impression, prompting me to explore its applications further. I was particularly intrigued by its holistic approach, which integrates elements of nature to illuminate fundamental aspects of human behaviour and interaction.
Kirsty’s application showed a strong understanding of the value of TetraMap for improving communication, increasing collaboration and building effective relationships. Through her work with indigenous and minority communities in the world of STEM, she sees TetraMap as an invaluable resource to empower individuals to become great leaders and communicators as well as enriching her own personal and professional growth.
Maria del Pilar
I work in the intersection of architecture, design and education. I am a Biomimicry Practitioner, Permaculture Designer and freelance facilitator, providing hands-on workshops on biodiversity and nature related topics in a permaculture community garden and in the city of Zürich. I engage with teenagers, young adults and adults helping them navigate complexity by learning from Nature. I decided to embark on a mission to bridge the gap between nature, science and design and become an entrepreneur. The path has not been easy, especially when it comes to aligning professional ethics with my passion for regeneration and nature. I would like to create the best conditions in holding space, energy and shared values, under which positive outcomes and greater impact are possible for both humans and nature. I strongly believe that as a facilitator I can use my influence to have a positive impact in the world as I contribute to the environment, human behaviour and well-being through a restorative and regenerative handprint. I would like to translate this idea into significant actions with the help of TetraMap.
Maria’s application showed her passion for bridging the gap between nature, science and design. The work she does in Biomimicry and Permaculture and Maria’s personal passion for learning through nature clearly aligns with the core values of TetraMap. Maria has many ways she will be able to implement her learning from the course into her work towards regeneration and helping people to restore their connection to the living world.
Zahra Habib
I first learned about TetraMap through my mentor and coach, who has played a key role in my professional and personal development. I have thoroughly understood TetraMap and its valuable applications in fostering effective communication and teamwork. My role in education at the community school is to be a dedicated teacher and mentor who connects with children, supports their individual needs, and guides them toward a well-rounded and fulfilling future. Through being the lead of the youth team in our community, I have honed my leadership skills and fostered collaboration to achieve impactful outcomes. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the power of collaborative action to influence positive change in society. The TetraMap scholarship would alleviate the burden of tuition and would enable me to facilitate TetraMap trainings in Tanzania in local schools or the community school that I volunteer at. I am a firm believer in the life-changing power of education.
Zahra’s determination to make a powerful, life changing difference through education shines through in her application. Working the teachers, students and youth leaders, her community will be introduced to TetraMap to help build self-awareness and then to develop teamwork. She will need encouragement, support and a network herself, and we know others in the TetraMap community will be there as cheerleaders. Jan Alley in whose name the scholarships are offered would be enormously proud to see TetraMap developing teachers and others in schools in Africa.

Your application will automatically be included in the 2025 selection. As mentioned above we’re seeking ways to support you and your interest in TetraMap before then.
