Newsletter December 2024

By TetraMap_Admin

This month we decided to focus on reflection and gratitude especially, as for the TetraMap tribe there is a new beginning beckoning.

There’s something very special about the end of a year.

Thank You!Goodbye to the old, welcome in the new. It makes us aware of the bigger picture.

This month’s newsletter offers a time for reflection and gratitude for all we have learned, and for us to celebrate with our TetraMap tribe as new beginnings beckon.

In our workshops and meetings we often end with TetraThoughts, and as the year comes to a close we share our TetraThoughts and hear from members of our TetraMap community. Time to celebrate our learning and sharing! We finish the year on the theme of Leadership and as torch bearers of the TetraMap brand we create our TetraThoughts around the TetraMap of Leadership – Courage, Wisdom, Compassion and Inspiration.

Leadership, like nature, grows from principles that stand the test of time and as we approach 25 years of TetraMap we feel extremely proud we have continued to grow.  Thank you all for your determination to share your learning and passion for TetraMap – it takes courage to continue striving to build a better world as we all learn to understand and appreciate our differences.

EARTH – Firm actions take courage and determination.

StrengthThis year TetraMap has:

  • expanded into new territories including Vietnam, Turkey, and the Caribbean
  • welcomed three new Master Certified Facilitators – Conny and Haani in New Zealand, and Olive in the Caribbean- with more well on the way to completing their MTF journey.
  • held 15 TetraMap certification courses which has resulted in around 100 new Certified TetraMap Facilitators around the globe
  • strengthened the community of Certified Facilitators in Germany and Singapore
  • improved data security with the successful introduction of two-factor authentication
  • made improvements to the digital suite enabling even more of you to offer digital and hybrid solutions in your TetraMap sessions.

“We fear that we are inadequate, but our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”
-Marianne Williamson

AIR – Being clear with wisdom and knowledge.

Facilitators 2024One thing we are very clear about – it is you, our Certified TetraMap Facilitators – who play a crucial role in making learning deeper, richer, and more meaningful.  In your Certification Courses and workshops you create powerful connections with your participants – it is synergy in action.  A space where we appreciate and understand diversity and prove 1+1=4 – where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Our latest digital certification course is a shining example of ‘together is better’ with a group spanning UK, Europe, Asia and Africa – and a variety of ages and world views successfully becoming Certified TetraMap Facilitators.

Elynn Pang from Malaysia was one of those participants and was bowled over by the transformative learning experience and how effective the virtual format was. The program not only provided flexibility but also delivered an immersive and interactive learning experience: “Through the sessions, I better understood the TetraMap model and its foundational elements—Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. What stood out to me was how applicable these elements are to real-life situations.

“I began applying the knowledge I gained right after the third session, and I have seen impressive results in both personal and professional contexts.”

“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
– Rumi

WATER – Experience feelings with compassion and insight.

UK Cert Nov24TetraMap extends across the globe and, as a TetraMap Facilitator, you belong to a wider community which continues to grow. This year we’ve seen an ever-growing expansion of the TetraMap facilitator community in Germany led by Anja Doil and Sabine Gruner, a higher than ever number of applicants for the Jan Alley scholarship and some fabulous and truly enlightening global Meet Ups. Many thanks to Master Certified Facilitator and newly appointed Global Head of Learning, Emma Mauger, for creating a unique space for our community to share and learn from each other. Keep an eye out in the new year for the next global Meet-Up and be inspired by your TetraMap colleagues. And remember this is a free event!

TetraMap International Managing Director, Madelize Bekker, feels inspired by the collective efforts of the TetraMap team: “I’m grateful for the opportunities we have to impact lives in meaningful ways. Looking ahead, I feel the responsibility to ensure we continue creating environments where these values thrive.”

A huge thank you to all of you who have contributed your wisdom and knowledge this year to benefit others by offering case studies, new articles and unique projects from our Master Certified Facilitators.

“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion”
– the Dalai Lama (The Art of Happiness)

FIRE – Seeing a bright future with vision and inspiration.

It’s been an exciting year and so much more to come in 2025. We will be offering enhanced programmes including refresher sessions, extending skills workshops and the new TetraMap of Leadership programme. Next year will be TetraMap’s 25th anniversary and from June onwards we have celebrations planned in the UK and Europe, United States, Singapore, and New Zealand – and that’s just for starters!

To support your online workshops there will be further TetraPanel developments, and we will have a new focus on brand ambassadors and telling more of your awesome stories – do you have one to share? Next year we look to a future where the TetraMap team deepens its influence globally, creating meaningful change through our shared values.

To help us mark the end of the year we’re joined by members of our TetraMap community old and new to celebrate what TetraMap means to them.  Thank you to all for taking time out of their busy schedules to put together their thoughts on a short video.

From Singapore we hear from Master TetraMap Facilitator, Jack Wong, who illustrates how he combines self-awareness of his elements in everyday life.  We learn from newly certified Zara Habib from Dar es Selaam, Tanzania, who has recently completed an online certification course and shares how it has broadened her horizons and enriched her ability to connect with a more diverse group of people. Jade Gibson from New Zealand shares her immense gratitude for the positive influence TetraMap has had on her life this year and celebrates how it has allowed her to have courageous conversations and tackle complex issues.

We couldn’t round off without a message from our founders Jon and Yoshimi Brett who are clear that diversity, interdependence and synergy are critical to humanity’s success: “More than ever it’s important to support the regenerative development of humanity and the planet.”

“If you want to teach people a new way of thinking, don’t bother trying to teach them. Instead, give them a tool, the use of which will lead to new ways of thinking.”
– Richard Buckminster Fuller
